Incontinence

Often we don't appreciate our muscles until they stop working properly. This is especially true for our pelvic floor muscles, which control how well we control urine loss. Pelvic floor muscles can weaken for a number of reasons, including:
hormonal changes (due to pregnancy, menopause or perimenopause)
high impact physical sports (i.e.: gymnastics, basketball, racquet sports, running, dance)
occupations or activities which involve heavy lifting and straining
increasing age
certain medications (ie: diuretics)
gaining weight or smoking
having babies

It's no wonder so many women (at least 1 in 5) are affected at any age! If your pelvic core muscles become weak and can't hold the urethra and bladder neck closed, urine will leak out when they're strained, often when you cough, sneeze, laugh, or exercise. If you experience these symptoms, you may be suffering Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI).*
By strengthening your pelvic floor muscles with Kegel exercises, you will usually be able to better control or stop SUI. The trick about Kegels though, is to identify and work out the correct muscles regularly because if you can't find feel the right muscles, working, you may not be exercising them at all.
Both Lady System® and IncoStress® are designed to help women identify and tone their pelvic floor muscles. Women who are just starting a pelvic floor muscle exercise program, or whose muscles have become very weak, will probably find IncoStress to be a positive start, as it is easier to hold in. Women who want to maintain and increase their pelvic floor strength would benefit with Lady System.
